Canada will become a member of the Madrid Protocol

From 17 June 2019 Canada will become a member of the Madrid Protocol and can therefore be claimed as an international trademark.

The changes to the Canadian trademark law will consequently also extend to other aspects, for example the duration that will be 10 years and the filing fees that will vary according to the number of Nice classes.
