Milan is a candidate to host one of the headquarters of the European Patent Court. This decision is fully supported by the Government, which has finally officially joined the procedure of the unified European patent, a procedure that will allow cuts of costs for companies and more guarantees for all.
Milan would become, therefore, a local office of the Court, which will have its headquarters in Paris. In the coming weeks you will see the terms of the agreement between Milan and the Unified Court, but what is certain is that Milan certainly has all the credentials to become a branch of the Court, given the large number of patents from Lombardy and consequently the high litigation about patents, which sees the judges of the Court of enterprises of MIlan as major experts.
