No to trademarks with Mac or MC

According to a recent decision of the EU General Court (Case T-518/13), the presence in a trademark prefix "Mac" or "Mc" prevents the registration in respect of products relating to food or drinks for a collision with the well known chain McDonald's, who has won his appeal against a multinational company of Singapore who had registered with the Euipo the Maccoffee brand. Obviously there is undoubted similarity between this mark and the trademarks of the McDonald's chain.

That judgment is certainly a case law of absolute importance.
