The new European copyright directive will be voted during the next week by the European Parliament. The new legislation is in fact an update of the 2015 European directive and is supported by producers of content and publishers who would also protect the title, summary etc. of their works and other elements that are usually used to create the link for the user. This is why we are talking about "link tax".
The aspect on which there is however more concern, especially from giants such as Google is the need to introduce platforms that are able to distinguish the content subject to copyright and not. Think of the great difficulties that may have channels of communication such as YouTube or Instagram: the risk of serious repercussions in the opposite direction is certainly present.
