Revision of international Lisbon agreement

Ended in Geneva the Diplomatic Conference for the revision of the International Lisbon Agreement, at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

On completion of work, some WIPO member states have signed the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on designations of origin and geographical indications, which will enable the international protection of geographical indications also.

Italy is among the 54 signatories of the new Geneva Act.

We know the absolute necessity of our country to maintain a high level for protection on designations of origin and geographical indications.
