In recent times, the Zara fashion retailer is at the center of legal problems concerning the design copied from other fashion brands. The peculiarity is that, apparently, often copying also affects small details entered on clothes but are extremely recognizable.
Specifically we would like to cite the case of Nuance Industries Inc. v. Zara Usa Inc., Civil Action # 1: 16, 08501, in which the well-known company has been accused of having copied the textile print already copyrighted by a small US company.
